Who Needs A PT Anyway ?

What does a PT really do ?, do you really need one ?...

"all i see is you standing there" "how are you so patient" "i can do it myself"

Conversations i have frequently with friends and with those i meet in and out of the gym.

Yes i work in a gym that does not mean i have all day to work out. I spend my time between clients or during my day preparing ,analysing programs , upskilling , working on my own personal development and sometimes just sometimes i manage to have fun too !

If i'm not at my best , whether that's physcologically , emotionally, technically (because working out safely is better than being on a gym-fail video) or spiritually i won't be able to support , edify, support or effectively train and encourage the gym member's/clients and help them reach their goals whether it be long or short term.

There's more than just watching someone, pointing and telling them what to do , there's so much more involved and each person has their own individual needs, wants and responds differently according to there own understanding and willingness , so there is no uniform way to train someone and there is no text book that can give you the ability to achieve except your own constant ability to learn , trial , practice and develop and conclude to find what works so sometimes its a lengthy process and can be quite a testing one at that.

There is also the element of running a business that requires alot of attention but we will leave that for another post!

Thought this would be a good insight for those wondering about what it is we do , what's involved and what goes on before and after a session and how that works day to day.

Train hard , eat well ,stay humble and be awesome...peace out !
